Always use hooks(weak is enough) for contract renegotiation first.ġ.1 Use kidnap plot exploit (perk kidnapper in Intrigue tree) to grab you liege and declare independence(via independence faction).ġ.2 Go all hardcore and win independence war (may be the fastest option if your senior is a pushover)ġ.3 Use Meritocracy perk to take your liege's title. Go for title revocation and counsel clauses asap, to prevent you liege taking those hard earned titles away and guaranty you warm place on your liege counsel(steward to get more money and discount to build your domain or spymaster to play dirty). While you preparing to get out of the vassaledge, modify vassal contract until you're vassal in the name only. Get rid of vassal status(it can be profitable to play as vassal with a pushover liege, but you can't have vassal kings if you're vassal yourself and kings can have only 40 vassals). You'll need organized religion to go feudal via liege, so adopt his(her) or reform yours. If you're king yourself already - Byzantium empire. Some pointers to stabilize your realm while having healthy dynasty: Well actually you'd be right, but it was still a time rife with conflict when power was highly decentralized. You think it was a coincidence that "feud" and "feudal" are so similar?. Sounds like you need to play EU4, which models an era of stable central governments. Its the idea that if I am playing as lets say Scandinavia and the Emperor dies and then all of my holdings are given to my sons and my heir only gets a portion of them, the Empire is now WEAKER and significantly less stable. I utterly despise anything but Primo/Ultim and anything that doesn't allow me to continue my realm in a stable way gets me infuriated. I just do not like having to disinherit my sons, or get them killed off in battle. That being said, my only complaint currently is how far Primogeniture is down the culture tech tree thing. Each game I play I seem to discover something new that adds another level of depth to the game. Originally posted by THEOTHERJESTER:As the title says, what are your opinions on the sucession laws in CK3. Now, combine all of that with one or two well placed disinheritances and you're golden. If I am in that position then every single new county I conquer goes to my sons and when inheritence comes along I don't lose a single bit of land. If the realm does not split then it's a bit trickier but you can just fabricate claims on them or just revoke straight up and crush the rebellions if you know you can do it, then you can imprison, revoke and give the titles to new fresh loyal craven vassals.Īnd that's only if i'm not in a position to constantly conquer new lands. Simply because my siblings almost always have no allies and low troops compared to mine and my capital is ususally more developed as I focus making buildings in it specifically for that purpose, plus all my saved up money goes to my primary heir so I immediately wage war and conquer them back. If my realm splits into independent realms then I find that split to be the easiest. I find them part of the fun and partitions are managable.
